The story of how I built an app during lockdown
Then we made to TV! I was interviewed on The Morning Show on Channel 7 speaking about the $66B film tourism industry and how SetJetters is making it easy for travelers to find scenes and for businesses to capitalise on this market.
Unfortunately adventure filmmaking can’t be done over zoom, so the pandemic wasn’t great for business…
But! In that down time I combined my passion for film & travel and cofounded an app that tells you where movies are shot!
We built a pitch deck, raised money & built the app.
We created partnerships with film offices in the United States and started conversations with film studios.
I was selected for the Blackbird VC mentor program; Giants, where I learned about the VC world, how to build a start up & raise money.
And the end of the program SetJetters was selected in the Top 5 from a cohort of 200!
